As Motor-Climate UK is a Dedicated Automotive Air Conditioning Specialist, we have evaluated many of the Qualifications specified under the F-Gas Requirements and we have chosen to work with the IMI Awards Scheme & their Assessments / Training division ATA (Automotive Technician Accreditation)
We believe The IMI Awards VRQ/QCF/ATA Assessment training schemes are widely recognized as the Automotive Sector Benchmark for Vehicle Technicians training and assessments.
The purpose and aim of these various qualifications is to provide experienced Vehicle / MAC Technicians with a qualification (approved by DEFRA), which meets the EU legislation (EC842-2006) for F Gas handling. This legislation comes into force on 4th July 2010.
The various Air Con Training Courses offered through the IMI Awards / ATA scheme, are recognized by DEFRA, the OEM’s, SMMT, and most Insurance companies, etc.
Option 1 - Air Con Refrigeration Handling course, (Technicians with Air Con experience) and just requiring Refrigerant Handling qualification, This is a 2-3 hr assessment @ £185.00 each.
